Oh, yeah of course! What I was trying to say, was that Clarisse DOES have brown hair, and maybe this is just me, but I think this is a really light brown, so light that it kinda looks blond, so in my comment, I was trying to say that this looks like blond hair, not brown. I personally remember the line in the books saying that she has mousy brown hair, so... yeah I agree, in my version of her, I think she has brown hair too. But if incredibru imagines Clarisse with blond hair, thats totally fine. After all, they are just colors. Furthermore, if had imagined Clarisse with blond hair, and you told me that she had brown hair, it would have ruined my mental image that I was comfortable with. In my opinion, I think you should let people imagine what they WANT to imagine. Like, if someone told YOU that she actually had blond hair, would you ever be comfortable with what you imagined? Maybe, maybe not. Now, I'm not trying to be mean, and if I am, I am TRULY sorry, but when it comes to books and imagination, I get a little protective. So, if someone declares to you that they imagine some character in some way that you do not, thats alright, but don't try to change their opinion on what that character looks like to them. It doesn't really matter if its what they look like in the books or not, its imagination! You can let your mind run wild and free! Rick Riordan himself said that he had NOT watched the movies specifically because he didn't want the actors to ruin what he thinks Percy and Annabeth look like. I hope you don't take this personally, but I just think that its quite disappointing to readers to have that experience. I am actually really, really sensitive if you get mad at me, so I write this with all regrets to infuriate you.
Hmm...Alright, I can understand your opinion, I get very protective over the books too, I'm always correcting people when they get a characters name wrong, or they give them the wrong colored eyes and such. I take slight offense when stuff like that happens, and I usually correct people like that. BUT if that's how you want to imagine it I guess, go ahead. I also apologize for correcting you so rudely, I understand what your saying...Though I can't 'exactly' agree on it but thank you for stating your opinion
Yes, thank you for understanding, and you didn't correct me SO rudely, I wasn't mad at all, really. And yes, I wasn't aiming for you to 'exactly' agree, but at least you understand. Not many people are as forgiving
I love this. I honestly love this. This looks like the Clarisse I imagined. So I have you ask you a question.
I'm getting ready to do a playlist of me reading the Percy Jackson books. So I had an idea that if I actually added fanart to the videos that it might make it look more interesting. Basically what I'm asking here is if you would let me add this piece to the 'Lightning Thief' section. Don't worry, I'll give you credit.
YES! CLARISSE ART! Only the most badass person ever. You did a wonderful job. I especially like her "over my dead body" expression and her headband thingy. Her left arm looks a bit wonky, but other than that, she looks great!
Wow I believe this is the first decent, more accurate Clarisse I'd seen so far. Nicely done! I knew it was her in a heartbeat! And I really like the rough, sketchy style you drew her in-it sort of fits her Aresness. lol
